After moving to Los Angeles at age 28, she worked at A&M Records for four years. She later joined a comedy troupe called The Groudlings, which featured famous comedians like Paul Reubens. One of her best known characters on SNL was Arianna, the Spartan cheerleader who performed exuberant routines alongside Will Ferrell's character. She has three siblings and her father, Thomas Oteri, founded and was the CEO of a music publishing company, "Of Music". She is rumored to have dated Alec Baldwin. She was known for impersonating Debbie Reynolds on SNL.
