She played the Heroine in the video game You're in the Movies in 2008. She was raised with her family in Colne. Her grandfather, Josiah Gumede, was the only President of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia. She competed with dancer Artem Chigvintsev on the eleventh series of the show Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.
